Bostancı Show Center

The Bostancı Show Center, which is one of Istanbul’s contemporary centers of considerable importance, is a culture & arts and entertainment center that has hosted many memorable performances and concerts. Due to its ease of transportation, prime location in the city, and both audio and video features it is the preferred address for many famous artists. With a seating capacity of about 3,000, it is an address that serves the whole city and attracts many people. The center has hosted famous local artists like Sezen Aksu and MFO as well as many international artists and groups. It is useful to follow the center’s program of events.

Bağdat Caddesi

Bağdat Caddesi was named after IV. Murat’s Bağdat campaign and used as an important connecting road throughout history. Today, located within the boundaries of Kadıköy, Bağdat Caddesi, or for short “Cadde”, stretches from Kızıltoprak to Cevizli. Bağdat Caddesi is considered to be one of the city’s luxury shopping destinations and is famous for hosting world renowned brands and boutiques. The avenue is visited by people all across the city as well as people from outside the city. This is a street that stands out on the Asian side for its unique atmosphere. With features such as its cafes, restaurants, bars, Caddebostan Cultural Center, Toy Museum, lush green side streets that spread out to the sea, and the sea side promenade, it is a delightful getaway for people of all ages.

Princes’ Islands

The Princes’ Islands or Istanbul Islands are very close in proximity to Bostanci and an enchanted destination that not only Istanbulites frequent but foreign visitors to the city do as well. There are 9 islands total but only 5 of them are inhabited today. Throughout history the islands density of non-Muslims continue to thrive, creating traces of cultural richness. Turn your attention to the islands to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city; open the door to a different world and enjoy wood and stone homes, the serene coast, and fish restaurants. You can reach the Kınalıada, Burgazada, Heybeliada, Büyükada or Sedef Island by ferry, boat, or seabus. On the European side, the Eminönü and Beşiktaş, on the Asian side the Bostancı and Kadıköy ports provide transportation to the islands; note that the fastest way to get to the islands is from the Bostancı port due to its close proximity.

Maiden’s Tower

Constructed on a small island on the Bosphorus Strait, this structure has been the subject of many legends throughout history. Today, standing tall with the grandeur of these legends, the Maiden’s Tower welcomes guests as a Bar & Restaurant. Access to the island can be made from the Maiden’s Tower Pier’s in Kabataş and Salacak. There are different services offered by the management at the Maiden’s Tower, divided into daytime and evening services (Kulede Gündüz-Daytime at the Tower and Kulede Akşam-Evening at the Tower). During the daytime service it is also possible to visit the Tower. On this trip you can visit The Legends exhibit as well as the photo archive. In addition to its historical significance, the mythic landscape and vista of the Maiden’s Tower makes it a must see.
